Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
The service
Your Pool Mate is a web application that helps Australian residential pool owners track water chemistry, calculate a Pool Health Score, and keep a timestamped record of water tests. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
Your account and trial
- New accounts include a 30-day free trial with full access. When the trial ends, continued access requires a purchase (founding member lifetime access, or the annual subscription once available).
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure, and for the accuracy of the readings you enter.
Founding member lifetime access
- "Lifetime" means for the operating life of the Your Pool Mate service — one payment, no recurring fees, including future features released to consumer accounts.
- Founding access is limited to 200 places and is for personal, non-commercial use on your own pool(s).
Refunds
30-day no-questions-asked refund on founding member purchases: email hello@yourpoolmate.com.au within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Important — guidance, not a guarantee
- Health Scores and dosing recommendations are calculated from the readings you provide. They are general guidance for residential pool maintenance — always follow chemical product label directions and safety instructions.
- Water test records are timestamped as entered. Whether a warranty provider accepts any record is determined by that provider and your warranty's terms — keep your original pool shop test printouts too.
- The service is not a substitute for professional advice on water safety, equipment, or structural issues.
Acceptable use
Don't attempt to access other users' data, interfere with the service, resell access, or use automated scraping. We may suspend accounts that do.
Changes to the service
We're a small Australian product and the app will keep evolving. We may add, change, or retire features. If we ever discontinue the service entirely, we'll give founding members reasonable notice and a way to export their water test history.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law (and without limiting your Australian Consumer Law rights), our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for it.
